AFA & Earth Rangers

As part of AFA’s research this summer, we’re collaborating with a children’s conservation organization called Earth Rangers. Once a child becomes an Earth Ranger, with support from their families, they make a commitment to engage in actions that directly contribute to the protection of wildlife. We at AFA are studying deep water corals in the Qikiqtarjuaq area along with the Mouth of Eclipse Sound areas. With the help of onboard scientists we are conducting underwater surveys to see where the coral is located to learn how to better protect their habitat.  We are pleased to announce that their first article on this initiative is in the link below:
